Dr. Angela Slessor

Biography

As the founder of Renewed Life Physical Therapy, I began my career in Orthopedics focusing on common conditions of the spine, lower

extremities and upper extremities. I became the director of an

outpatient clinic and began learning the inner-workings of business

management. After several years, I had an opportunity to explore

Geriatric Rehab in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

To continue my love of manual therapy, I returned to outpatient with my patients. I truly believe in the healing power of touch. After a

volunteer Physical Therapy trip to Haiti, I cultivated relationships

with a few colleagues who practiced Pelvic Floor Therapy and Dry

Needling. After my first classes, in these areas, I knew that these were

the areas I wanted to focus on in my practice.

In addition to Pelvic Floor Therapy, I offer an array of other Physical

Therapy Services for an abundance of conditions. During your session at JL Therapeutics you will have my undivided attention for your entire session, no delegation to a PT Tech. I also offer sessions separate from Physical Therapy for Dry Needling to decrease your muscular pain related to tightness and scar tissue.

I'm passionate about educating patients about their health and helping

them regain their dignity, free from pain. I believe in treating the

whole person and not just focusing on the area of pain. My treatment

philosophy includes evidence-based manual therapy, custom exercise

prescriptions and comprehensive patient education to aid my clients in

achieving their personal goals.

I enjoy my personal time being active. You will often find me biking,

kayaking, swimming and enjoying anything outdoors - when the weather allows it in Michigan. I also enjoy spending time with my son and our pets.
